Job offer (deadline Jan 20, 2012) for Research in Bio-Inspired Adaptive and Autonomous Materials for Sustainable Energy

Research will be in functional materials with two main complementary focus areas: energy production and sustainable energy use. For sustainability, we will develop bioinspired responsive materials and architectures, which would store energy, release it on demand, and act as life-like, efficient, and autonomous entities. We will design such autonomous devices from synthetic materials based on novel fabrication techniques, including microfluidics, hierarchical structures, and 3D scaffolds.

Logo: Cluster Label Bronze

Bronze Label of Cluster Management Excellence for BIOKON International. The Bronze Label forms part of the Quality Label System that is currently developed within the European Cluster Excellence Initiative to create an independent voluntary proof of cluster management excellence that is accepted and recognized all over Europe. The Quality Label will motivate cluster managers to compare with each other and to learn from the best. Benchmarking plays an important role in this respect.
